Reorganization of the Lower Elkhorn Reclamation Districts 537, 785, and 827 (LAFCo No. 928)

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 9:00 am, or as soon thereafter, the Yolo Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) will hold a Public Hearing at the West Sacramento Civic Center, 1110 West Capitol Avenue, West Sacramento, CA, to consider the following agenda item:

Project Title:
Reorganization of the Lower Elkhorn Reclamation Districts 537, 785, and 827 (LAFCo No. 928)

Project Description:
Reclamation Districts (RD)s 537, 785 and 827 have jointly submitted an application proposal to dissolve RD 785 and RD 827 and concurrently annex both territories into RD 537, subject to approval of a new benefit assessment to be voted on by the landowners.

Location:
All three RDs are located in the Lower Elkhorn Basin with the Sacramento River to the east and the Yolo Bypass to the west. Reclamation District 537 is split by the Sacramento Weir. Old River Road runs on/along the eastern levee.

The petition, description and maps, will be on file at the LAFCo office, 625 Court Street, Suite 107 Woodland, California. The Executive Officer's Report and the Agenda will be posted at least five days prior to the noticed hearing at the above address and online at www.yololafco.org. All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing.
