Notice of Hearing: Northeast Industrial Area Reorganization to the City of Woodland (LAF#23-06)

Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 9:00 am, or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, the Yolo Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) will hold a Public Hearing at the Yolo County Board of Supervisors Chamber, 625 Court Street, Room 206, Woodland, CA, to consider the following agenda item:

Project Title:
Northeast Industrial Area Reorganization to the City of Woodland (LAFCo No. 23-06)

Project Description:
California Compass Logistics Center, LLC requests annexation of 13 parcels totaling 631.59 acres to the City of Woodland. This action requires concurrent detachment from the Springlake Fire Protection District (no other districts will be affected). Per Government Code Section 56662, LAFCo may waive protest proceedings if the City and all affected landowners in the territory provide their written consent to the proposal.

Location:
The following parcels are located in the industrial area on the northeast side of the City of Woodland, generally in the area north of East Main Street, south of County Road 18C, and on the east and west sides of County Road 102: APNs 027-210-007, 027-350-001, 027-350-051, 027-360-042, 027-360-043, 027-360-044, 027-360-045, 027-370-008, 027-370-009, 027-370-019, 027-370-029, 027-370-034, and 027-370-035.

Environmental Review:
Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the City of Woodland as Lead Agency prepared an initial study to analyze the potential environmental effects of the proposal and will file a Notice of Exemption in accordance with Section 15183 of the CEQA Guidelines, which applies to projects consistent with the development density established by existing General Plan policies for which an EIR was certified.

The Proposal Application is currently posted on the LAFCo website at www.yololafco.org/active-proposals. The Executive Officer's Report and the Agenda will be posted online at least five days prior to the noticed hearing at www.yololafco.org. All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing.
